29,000 Tonne Ship Buoyancy Aid

Location: USA.

Information:
A major United States shipbuilder needed to utilise a dry dock that was too shallow to build a particular class of vessel. The answer was to fit 40 totally enclosed 35 tonne capacity underwater lifting bags in strategic positions on the hull. This ensured that the 29,000 tonne vessel could be lifted at least 6 inches to allow safe transit over the dry dock gate sill. This particular operation was carried out for two vessels that were built during an 18 month period.

Products used: 40 x 35 Tonne capacity Totally Enclosed style lifting bags. Please contact us if you have any queries about these products.

Application type: Buoyancy Aid.
